Palmer FFA team competes at Nationals

January 14, 2016

Palmer FFA students were rated as a National Bronze Emblem Poultry Judging Team at the 2015 National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.  Each student was individually recognized as Bronze Level Participants. The contest included a management portion, grading of eggs, placing of live broilers, hens, and whole turkey carcasses, and processed poultry product evaluation. All activities were in accordance with USDA standards and specifications. The competition took approximately seven hours. Teams from forty-one states competed. Upon conclusion of the contest team members and advisors attended a formal banquet that included educational presentations.
